1. Who is responsible

Public Transport Trivia is the trading name under which this service is operated. The operator’s postal address is Flat 9 Oak House, 159 Croydon Road, London, SE20 7UB. The privacy contact is support@transporttrivia.co.uk. The operator is responsible for deciding how personal information in the service is used. The hosting and sign-in providers process information to deliver the service.

2. What we use

• Account details: email address, sign-in identity and authentication information when you register or sign in by email or Google.
• Profile details: player name or nickname, transport sector and depot or garage you supply.
• Gameplay: best Time-Attack score, rankings, Showdown participation, selected answers, scores and match timing.
• Device-only data: your light/dark setting and mock wallet balance, entries and payout simulation are saved in your browser on that device, not in your account. Browser storage used for sign-in may also keep you signed in.
• Technical information needed to operate and protect the service may be handled by the hosting and authentication providers, such as connection and error information. Provider-specific details should be confirmed before this notice is finalised.

3. Why we use it

Account and gameplay information is used to sign you in, provide your profile and games, match players, calculate scores and display rankings. The intended UK GDPR lawful basis for these core functions is performance of the service you request (contract). Keeping the service secure and diagnosing faults may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. If optional marketing or non-essential tracking is introduced, it requires a separate review and, where required, your consent. No marketing feature is described as active here.

4. Who can see it

Other signed-in players may see your chosen name, depot, score and rank on the leaderboard; matched players may see your name and Showdown score and results. Avoid putting private information in your nickname or depot. Service providers supporting hosting, data storage and sign-in may process the information needed for their role. Google sign-in, if chosen, involves Google under its own privacy terms. We do not describe the mock wallet as a payment record because no payment is processed.

5. Where and how long

[Before adoption, confirm hosting regions, any international transfers, provider safeguards and specific retention periods.] Account and game records are held while needed to run the service, subject to a documented retention and deletion policy that the operator must still set. Browser-stored preferences and mock wallet data remain on your device until you clear site data or they are reset by the app. Clearing browser data does not delete account records.

6. Your choices and rights

You can edit your nickname, sector and depot in your profile and change the appearance setting in the header. Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to receive certain data in a portable form. To make a request — including asking for your account to be deleted — email support@transporttrivia.co.uk.
