These draft terms cover your use of Public Transport Trivia’s quizzes, profiles, leaderboard and Live Showdown.

1. The service
Public Transport Trivia offers transport knowledge quizzes, timed games, online matches and rankings. The question bank is built primarily around public transport general knowledge — buses, rail, trams and the industry that runs them. For competitive purposes and broader, fun-filled trivia, some questions also cover the wider transport and road world, such as driving hours, road signs and vehicle mechanics — a mix reflected in our “Transport Trivia” name. Some areas are demonstrations: sample dashboard statistics and the tournament wallet do not represent your actual earnings or a claim to a prize. Questions are for entertainment and learning, not a substitute for current official driving, safety or employment guidance.
2. Accounts and profiles
You may need an account to save your profile and score or enter an online Showdown. Keep your sign-in details secure. Choose a player name and depot you are comfortable showing to other signed-in players: they may appear in rankings and match rosters. Do not impersonate others or enter abusive, unlawful or misleading profile information.
3. Gameplay and rankings
Games have their own on-screen timing and scoring rules. Time Attack draws questions from the active bank; a new run is allowed after a run finishes. Online Showdown shares a timed set of questions with matched players and reveals results after each round. Connection problems may interrupt a match. Scores and rankings can change as players compete, and example figures may be shown separately from live results.
4. Acceptable use
Do not cheat, use bots to submit answers, disrupt matches, probe or bypass security, scrape other users’ information, or use the service to harass anyone. Access may be limited where needed to protect players and the service, subject to applicable law.
5. No cash value
The tournament wallet is a device-only simulation. Mock top-ups, entry fees, prize pools and payouts have no monetary value. No card is charged, no real entry fee is collected, and there is no withdrawal or real-prize service. See the Competition Terms & Conditions for the demo rules.
5a. Spending limits
To support safer play, daily pool entry is £1.00, private room entries are £1.00 or £2.00, and all paid entries combined are limited to 5 per player per calendar day (a maximum of £10.00 per day). Attempts to get around this limit, for example by using multiple accounts or devices, breach these terms. The limit is enforced against your account on our servers, so it applies across every device you use.
6. Availability and changes
The question bank, features and demonstration may change or be unavailable from time to time. If material terms change, the updated wording should be made available with a new date before it applies. Nothing in these draft terms removes rights you have under applicable consumer or data protection law.
